National Eating Disorders Awareness Week
February 23 - March 1, 2026

National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (NEDAW) is an annual campaign to educate the public about the realities of eating disorders and to provide hope and visibility to all those impacted by eating disorders. NEDAW 2026 will take place Monday, February 23 – Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Our theme is: Fighting for Change, Committed to Change – Every Body Belongs
Eating disorders affect 30 million Americans in their lifetime. They impact EVERY BODY, across all backgrounds and communities, yet it often takes years for people to recognize and seek help. Eating disorders have devastating mental and physical consequences but are too often overlooked due to a lack of understanding, myths about who can experience them, and a lack of accessible, quality, culturally responsive resources.
Throughout the week, we will highlight key insights, host community events, and spotlight the voices driving change. Each day, we will focus on a specific area of Every Body Belongs, connecting the day’s content and events to this guiding message:
- Every Body Matters
- Every Body’s Voice Matters
- Every Body Deserves Compassion
- Every Body Deserves Treatment
- Every Body Deserves Support
- Every Body Deserves Hope
- Every Body Deserves Change
Let’s come together this #NEDAW to fight for change, commit to change, and remind every person impacted by eating disorders that they are not alone because #EveryBODYBelongs.
National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (NEDAW) brings together everyone impacted by eating disorders, individuals with lived experience, family members, friends, students, educators, coaches, professionals, and organizations, for a collective effort to raise awareness and promote understanding. As a NEDAW collaborator, you’ll be among the first to learn our annual theme and gain access to resources to share with your community while engaging in the #NEDAW campaign. Join us in spreading hope, education, and support.
