Research Advisory Council
The NEDA Research Advisory Council was formed to provide advice, expertise, and leadership to NEDA in alignment with the organization’s scientific, research and clinical goals and initiatives. Their responsibilities include directing the grant focus areas, grant process, and approving grant progress reports for the Feeding Hope Fund grants; serving as advisors to board, committees and staff regarding research and scientific advances in the field; suggesting and/or serving as speakers and programmatic leaders for NEDACon; providing an annual blog post/article on field updates translating research into practice; serving as expert speakers to the media on behalf of NEDA, related to matters of research and scientific advances.

Clinical Advisory Council
The NEDA Clinical Advisory Council was formed to provide advice, expertise, and leadership to NEDA in alignment with the organization’s clinical goals and initiatives. Their responsibilities include reviewing and contributing content to the Resource Library; providing counsel to staff after crisis interventions, and conducting an annual review of the program; suggesting and/or serving as speakers and programmatic leaders for NEDACon; providing an annual blog post on trends within the eating disorder treatment landscape; and serving as an expert speaker to media on behalf of NEDA related to matters of clinical advances.

Founder’s Council
The Founders of NEDA include past board members of founding organizations and others who were critical to the development of this national movement and the formation of the National Eating Disorders Association. In acknowledgment of their many years of dedication and service, the council is one way to support their continued engagement, involvement and connection to one another – and with NEDA. The board members came from founding organizations Eating Disorders Awareness and Prevention (EDAP) and American Anorexia Bulimia Association of New York (AABA).
