In this session, Mehek Mohan, co-founder of Kahani, will share how digital tools complement traditional therapy, who can benefit from these interventions, best practices for integrating technology into care, and a live demo of Kahani, an evidence-based recovery platform.

Webinar: Understanding Eating Disorders As Anxiety Disorders: The Role of Fear and the Need for Safety in collaboration with the Anxiety and Depression Association of American (ADAA)

In this webinar, NEDA Clinical Advisor Dr. Norman Kim, will explore the overlap between eating disorders and anxiety disorders. We will present the rationale for using exposure-based treatment approaches to help people better manage their anxiety and develop better ability to manage strong emotions.

Written by Stanford sophomore Jessica Korobkin and composed by Lucy Chen, the musical challenges stereotypes while exploring the profound impact of eating disorders, blending moments of humor, love, and friendship.

The story follows Katie, a young woman who moves to New York City for art school to escape the haunting memory of her sister’s death from an eating disorder. When Katie discovers that her new roommate struggles with an eating disorder, Katie is forced to confront her unresolved grief and guilt while navigating the difficult journey of supporting her roommate, balancing love, loss, and healing.
