Campus Warriors

Campus Warriors is an outreach initiative designed to engage colleges and universities across the United States to raise awareness about eating disorders and fundraise for NEDA.

Campus Warriors are individual students, faculty members, and student organizations with direct or indirect lived experience with eating disorders representing NEDA on their college and university campuses.

In my experience, having an eating disorder in college was one of the most isolating challenges. An integral part of my recovery was connection. As a Campus Warrior, I want to let others know they are not alone. I want to shine light on the truth, dissipating stigma.

College is a such a formative time of life and as someone actively pursuing recovery, I realize having a support system is so important. I want to be an advocate for recovery and bring light to an illness that so many college students suffer in silence.

Campus Warriors aim to educate their school community about eating disorders by participating in awareness events on campus. They strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment on college campuses where people no longer need to feel alone. In addition to raising awareness, Campus Warriors are committed to fundraising for NEDA’s programs and services.

During the 2022-2023 school season, over 300 individuals from nearly 250 colleges and universities across 45 states and Washington, D.C., signed up to become Campus Warriors.

Being a Campus Warrior means being a part of a community of passionate changemakers and advocates dedicated to spreading awareness about eating disorders at their school. Your involvement will leave a lasting positive impact on your campus and the lives of those impacted by eating disorders.

Become a Campus Warrior today. By working together, we can make a difference at your school!

"I prioritize speaking to students about warning signs of eating disorder / disordered eating, how to support loved ones struggling, and shedding light around stereotypes of eating disorders. Basic education can change things." San Diego State University
