Information & Referral Helpline

The NEDA Helpline is available Monday-Friday from 9AM to 5PM Eastern Time to give additional support to our contacts.

If you are unable to find the resources you need through our website, or are unsure where to begin in seeking treatment for yourself or a loved one, a Helpline volunteer trained in eating disorder knowledge may help you sort out what the appropriate action to take might be in finding assistance and assessing your options. The Helpline is often an initial step for those suffering from an eating disorder. Helpline volunteers have extensive training to prepare them for their role as a means of support and are knowledgeable in various areas related to the eating disorder field.

You may reach the Helpline at (800) 931-2237.

Click to Chat

The Click to Chat option is another way to speak with a live, trained Helpline volunteer, should you prefer instant messaging the Helpline instead of speaking to a volunteer over the phone.

You can always leave a message for the Helpline if it is not currently available and we will return your call or email promptly.
