A lot of change can come with being a teenager which can be both exciting and overwhelming! Unfortunately, a difficult relationship with one’s body and food is common during this time period. These issues are natural responses to puberty, body-based teasing and harassment, misunderstandings about weight and health, different types of stress, and much more.

In light of Eating Disorder Awareness Month, this presentation offers space to reflect on and confront common triggers to negative body image, explore barriers to developing body respect and trust, and learn ways to develop more self-compassion and appreciation of your body. You will also learn signs of when you, a friend or a loved one might benefit from speaking to a mental health professional and how to go about finding help.
