National Eating Disorders Association

Let's get real: Save the Date. National ED Awareness Week is February 26th to March 4th.

Our Vision

Our theme this year is Let’s Get Real and our goal is to expand the conversation and highlight stories we don’t often hear.

Our culture has complicated relationships with food, exercise, and appearance. 30 million Americans will struggle with a full-blown eating disorder and millions more will battle food and body image issues that have untold negative impacts on their lives.

But because of stigma and old stereotypes, many people don’t get the support they deserve. Join the conversation and help us raise awareness, bust myths, get people screened, and start journeys to healing.

Let's Get Social!

Join the conversation about food, body image, and exercise issues on social media with #NEDAwareness. Let's bust myths, share our unique stories, and point people to support and resources. We have shareable graphics and sample messages to make it easy for you!

Become a NEDAwareness Week Partner!

Community organizations, health care providers, schools, companies, and more are all invited to sign on as official partners. Partners support the campaign by sharing resources and engaging on social media with #NEDAwareness.

Find or Plan a NEDAwareness Week Event in Your Area

NEDAwareness Week activities and events bring people together in creative, engaging ways to raise awareness and share resources. Find an event in your area or, if you’re hosting your own event, you can post it here to get the word out! If you're sharing your personal story, please keep our guidelines in mind.

Host aN Eating Disorder Screening EVENT

This DIY event is a great way to support this year’s campaign, as we’re trying to get as many people screened as possible. This event can be done almost anywhere and requires minimal setup and space.
