COVID-19 is creating unprecedented challenges for individuals who are receiving eating disorder treatment or those who are planning to seek professional help. The following are some treatment centers nationwide that are offering virtual programming in this time of crisis. This list will be updated as we learn more about new facilities offering similar services.

Services: ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders continues to operate as usual, accepting admissions daily and delivering life-saving care to patients with severe and extreme eating disorders during this challenging time. 

The ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health Medical Center is uniquely equipped to treat the most serious eating disorders during the COVID-19 pandemic. As you assess referral options for your patients, consider our extensive expertise in treating all co-occurring medical complications in patients combined with our unmatched ability to practice social distancing, protect patient safety and control infection in our private patient rooms and hospital-based unit.

Regarding groups: Offering virtual Contemplating Recovery support groups. Two on the first Saturday of the month and two on the second Saturday of the month.

Services: Virtual PHP, IOP and OP available throughout Utah and Idaho, outpatient therapy and dietary visits with providers via telehealth. They are accepting patients of all genders, ages 14+, who are struggling with an eating disorder and co-occurring conditions. They are still accepting admissions to their inpatient and residential programs.

Services: Partial hospital and intensive outpatient programs are operating virtually and accepting new clients.

Residential programs are open and are programming in-person and accepting new patients with visitation and family programming happening virtually.  They have also added additional virtual support groups for patients, support systems, and professionals.

Services: They remain open to serve both local and out of area patients, while following strict screening and best practice guidelines for the ongoing pandemic. They are able to accommodate a small group of residential, as well as, outpatient participants.

Residential beds are limited to 10 clients and are following federal, state, and local guidelines.

They still have a few beds available for those in need of a safe, structured setting to get help with their eating disorder and related issues.
