I’m joining advocates from across the country on Capitol Hill today and we need your help. We’re asking for increased funding for eating disorders research and in just five minutes, you can help amplify our voices.

How Can You Help?

Take action today by urging Congress to increase funding for eating disorders research. We’ll also be asking Health and Human Services Secretary Price to prioritize improved eating disorders coverage as outlined in the 21st Century Cures Act.

Call Your U.S. Representative Today!

Here’s our suggested message:

Hello, my name is [insert name] and I am a constituent living in [city, state]. I am calling to urge you to support increased research funding for eating disorders through the Department of Defense.

I’d also like you to sign on to a letter led by Senators Klobuchar, Baldwin, and Capito that prioritizes the eating disorders provisions included in the 21st Century Cures Act.

Eating disorders will affect 30 million Americans in their lifetimes and they have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness. Your support of these initiatives is so important to me!

Don’t Have Time to Call?

Phone calls are really the best way to take action, but if you don’t have the time (or if you’d like to double your impact) you can send them a quick email asking them to add their name to the letter!
