Join Rock Recovery and The Viva Center for a special documentary screening and open discussion in honor of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2020.

The Illusionists is a documentary that deeply explores society’s obsession of chasing “the perfect body”. The film brings to light the alarming lack of body diversity and acceptance in the beauty industry, with a focus on how the messages are beginning to shift to target children and men.

After the viewing, there will be an open Q & A panel with a team of experts in the eating disorder field to unpack the media messages we are confronted with daily and how they affect our mental health. Topics will include: body image, social media, diet culture, disordered eating and more.

Tickets are $15 and refreshments will be provided. Proceeds will go to help more people access affordable, clinical eating disorder treatment through Rock Recovery’s clinical recovery programs.
