Just looking for a little support

Hey all,

I'm just looking to get some support from people right now! I really struggled with ED freshman year of college, and took a year to live at home and work full time doing a job I love and receiving treatment from professionals. I'm now weight restored, back at college as a would-be-junior, and starting to slip a little. Not a lot, and not enough to be worrisome as I still do weigh-ins every week to make sure I'm at least somewhat stable. The therapist here at school is cheap and nice, but not experienced with ED at all. I hate ED so much, he makes me miserable, and I just want to have the college experience I deserve. Any recommendations? It's a super small school, so I keep forgetting that there are lots of people out there in similar situations! I just haven't talked to many people who really understand in a bit! Hope all is well!

Hi redfoxgal, glad you

Hi redfoxgal, glad you reached out here.
You've come to the right community.
As far as an ear to lend is concerned, NEDA's got more than one.
They have a helpline manned by trained volunteers who can get you in touch with resources in your area and/or just lend an ear.
That number is: 1-800-931-2237 and they're available Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (EST).
Here's the greater help link:

And here are a few more links that I thought you might find helpful:

The road to recovery is a bumpy one. It's got ups and downs. But it sounds like you're determined to see it through, which I respect. And its easier to recover with a support team behind you. One composed of close friends, family, a therapist, and even someone like a dietician can really help. I hope you take a look around the website and find some comfort here.
Keep us updated.
