National Eating Disorders Association

NEDA partners with Screening for Mental Health, Inc. (SMH) to provide an online eating disorder screening tool for the public. You have the option to take a free, anonymous self-assessment to check your risk of having an eating disorder.

Taking the Screening

The screening takes only a few minutes and consists of a series of questions developed by treatment professionals in the eating disorders field. Think of the screening tool as a “low pressure” first step towards recovery.

After completing the eating disorder screening, you will receive your results. Your answers to the screening questions will indicate whether further action is needed. If it is, NEDA’s Helpline will provide you with treatment options to pursue with a medical professional.
