I have experienced similar. I grew up with an eating disorder, but my mom used to tell me I didn't have one because I wasn't skin and bones. I never got help until I was 29 because my mom wouldn't get me help of any kind.
Know you can have a major eating disorder without being underweight; you can have an eating disorder when you're overweight. The number on the scale doesn't determine if you have an eating disorder.
Trust your gut. If you feel you're suffering, that you need a higher level of care, do what you need and take the first step and contact the facility. They can assess what level of care you need.
Know I will be praying for you. Keep us posted on what happens. We care about you.
You can also contact NEDA for help.
