Excessive burning

So I've been on a meal plan lately but have excessively trying to burn cals on the plan... however I have been on the plan a while and pretty much have maintained my weight for a while. I hate the excessive burning but am afraid that my metabolism will slow way down or I'll keep gaining and gaining if I completely stop and eat the same this irrational? Will my metabolism adjust?

I'm not a doctor, so I can't say for sure. I would consult a professional for what is healthiest for you. It may not be what you want to hear, but it may be what's best. I think the point of a meal plan is to get a healthy balance of food without worrying about obsessing over burning what your body needs.
I hope this response is helpful in some way.
Know you're not alone, though, in wanting to burn the calories you eat, but I am hopefully going inpatient to get the help I need.
Hopefully we will hear back from you. Know you're in my prayers.

You're definitely not alone

I can't tell you for sure, but I can give you what I'm experiencing. My nutritionist and I have been working on cutting excessive exercise lately, and the body does adjust. I've been able to cut my exercise in half, maintain my meal plan, and nothing has changed. Well, that's not entirely true; I have way more free time to do things I enjoy and my body feels SO much better! I'd be willing to bet your body will react similarly, and you will feel much better too! Definitely keep your nutritionist in the know too so you can gauge progress and just have someone there to support you. You can do this. Don't let that demon run your life.
Lots of love,

Excessive burning

I think you should talk to your Registered Dietitian about your fears. He or she is well educated on how the body's chemistry works and can give you a better and more detailed answer than you might find here on the blogs. I would also tell your RD about your excessive exercise and your fears. You can probably discuss what is triggering the action and how to plan your meals so maybe you will feel a little less stressed. Hope this helps.
