Don't know what to do anymore

My daughter has severe anorexia nervosa, she is 18 and has been ill for 3 years. Hospitalised 3 times. No support from health authorities, we live in England and I found this website, so thought it might help? Can anyone please give me some advice and hope so that I can help my daughter. I just don't know what more I can do other than get her hospitalised again.

HI pinktoothbrush,

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's condition, and cannot imaging what it must be like for you, as a parent going through this. Please know that you are not alone; many share in your pain- and there are answers. The good news is that by reaching out and making the brave move that you did, you are opening up a world of support and guidance for yourself which can fortify you and strengthen your coping skills in dealing with the adverse situation that you find yourself in.

Being that you are located in England, I would like to refer you to a Uk-based organization called "beat" that can be a great resource for treatment advice, emotional support, and other helpful tools. See link below:

These toolkits may be very helpful to you as well, so do not hesitate to peruse:

I hope the above links are helpful to you, and that your daughter gets the help she truly deserves. Hold on tight and stay strong!
