Almost Slipped n Fell @ Wal-Mart in Aisle Today
I went shopping for my weekly basics, and even for my work out clothes, a few extra sweat tops for gym. Then I almost tripped n fell in the aisle. Then felt so shaken by this Near Miss of a Slip n Fall that I almost had a ED slip and was really considering going next door to my former favorite fast food sweets shop to binge seriously via Post Traumatic Experience. I have had a pattern of Binging Post Traumatic events in my past too. But,,,,, then i came home, balanced check book, and had a very healthy and nourishing lunch, instead. Yikes?????I think it may have been a binge, as my stomach is actually in Pain now, after eating?????

Hi 1Blurose68,

I'm sorry to hear that you had this incident. I'm glad that you were able to come home back safely. I understand that you may have had a mechanism of coping with your experience, but it sounds like you are still worried about your relationship with food.

Have you spoken with a professional about this? It sounds like you're very well aware of the behaviors you used to engage in, but it also sounds like you're experiencing pain after eating. NEDA has the helpline available M-Thursday 9AM-9PM and Fridays 9-5PM at 1-800-931-2237. They may be able to help you with a place to start regarding resources you may be able to use.

I hope you are able to seek the help you need! I hope you're ok from your fall and please keep us updated!

Thank you for your support.

It was a near miss actually. I caught myself slipping and nosed up quickly on my cart bar and my feet w/ my sandals some how , thank goodness, automatically realigned themselves so that they were extra stable and I did Not slip n fall. I only almost slipped n fell. But i did nash my jaws together pretty tightly cuz my jaws were really in pain after shopping.

I'm sorry to hear about your

I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm happy to know that you're doing okay and weren't too severely hurt. I hope that your jaw is doing better! Regarding your feelings about traumatic experiences, just as nyk454 said, this definitely sounds like something that a professional can help you understand and cope with. I encourage you to call the Helpline to seek out these resources. For now though, please keep posting!

Stay strong!
