advice? trying to get period back

Here is some background info.
I am 22 and recovered in pretty much every way, healthy weight, great mentality, no fear foods etc. except I am still waiting for my period to return. It has been a long time, about 5 years since my last one. The gyn has told to up my weight even more and reduce exercise (less than 4x a week). I am doing both.
I am a competitive runner, although I have been injured since December. I am keen to improve my bone health as it will help me get rid of this injury and shield me from more in the future.

My main point is that I am feeling sad and frustrated at the situation. I am in the uk, so use the nhs. My last appointment was so rushed that I forgot to ask what next? It took 3 months to even get that first appointment with the gyn.
Does anyone have any advice? Or, could share their experiences?

istur, have you been seeing a doctor or a specialist during your recovery? A lot of these questions could be best answered by a doctor. None of us are actual doctors on this forum, so we can only offer you our support, not any solid information.
