WB Star Scarlett Pomers Launches New CD & Hosts Star-Studded Event to Benefit the National Eating Disorders Association

Los Angeles – May 15, 2006 – Actress Scarlett Pomers (Reba) is hosting a benefit to launch her debut recording effort, the multi-single CD Project Chains, and to announce the formation of the Arch-Angels Fund, benefiting the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), for which Pomers is an ambassador.

Expected to attend to see Pomers and alt rocker Jak Paris perform are Emme, Sara Paxton, Shawn Pyfrom (Desperate Housewives) and Ashley Benson (Days of Our Lives), among other celebrities and VIPs.

A recovering anorexic, 17-year-old Pomers – along with ambassadors Paula Abdul, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Sara Evans, Emme and Carré Otis – works on NEDA’s behalf to raise funds and awareness for eating disorders education, advocacy and research.

Pomers, an accomplished singer and songwriter, teamed up with alt rocker Jak Paris to record Fleetwood Mac’s mega hit “The Chain,” a version that has all the original’s flavor but with a heavier modern-rock sound. The maxi-single, Project Chains, also includes “Valentine,” co-written and performed by Pomers and a single by Paris off his new CD Electric Revolution, Overrated

Minarik Guitars has generously donated a Special Edition Goddess Guitar autographed by Pomers; rock icon and living legend Stevie Nicks; country music stars Reba McEntire and Sara Evans; heavy metal icons Rob Zombie and Motorhead; alternative rock bands Lit and Hoobastank; drummer Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, The Vandals); Goth-rock band Lacuna Coil (Milan, Italy); and other major recording artists.  The guitar will be on display and available to bidders around the world exclusively on eBay.

Proceeds from Project Chains and the auction will support the Arch-Angels Fund, benefiting NEDA. For more information, visit www.projectchains.com.
