STAR state leader, Linda Sweet, organized an event at the Rhode Island State House on February 25th. Where speakers gathered to promote increased awareness about eating disorders and available treatment, to increase awareness about Rhode Island’s mental health parity, and to work with state legislators to establish mandated intervention and prevention programs. Senator Sue Sosnowski introduced legislation, S357, to expand the definition of mental illness for insurance coverage to include eating disorders.
